Current RB Drivers:

2006-2008: Minardi to Toro Rosso

The team’s roots can be traced back to the Minardi F1 Team, which was acquired by Red Bull and renamed Scuderia Toro Rosso (Italian for “Team Red Bull”) in 2006. The team’s debut season in 2006 saw it achieve a remarkable victory at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, courtesy of Sebastian Vettel, who became the youngest F1 race winner at the time. Toro Rosso continued to develop young talent and showcase its competitive edge.

2010-2019: Transition to Scuderia AlphaTauri

In 2010, the team underwent a rebranding, adopting the name Scuderia AlphaTauri. The team’s most notable achievement during this period was the victory at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel, making it the only win for the former Toro Rosso team. The team continued to provide a platform for promising drivers, nurturing talents such as Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, who later moved on to Red Bull Racing.

2020s: Rising Competitiveness

In the 2020 season, RB showed signs of increased competitiveness, with Pierre Gasly securing an emotional victory at the Italian Grand Prix. Gasly’s win marked the first for AlphaTauri as a team under its new name and was a testament to its progress in the sport. The team has been known for its innovative car designs and development, often utilizing its affiliation with Red Bull Racing for technical support.

2024: Transition to RB

For the 2024 season, the change in branding to RB signifies a tighter reference to the Red Bull operation.
