The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a street circuit located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was announced as a new venue for the Formula One calendar and was set to host its first race in the 2021 Formula One season. The introduction of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit was part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the country’s economy and promote tourism and entertainment. Situated on a stunning stretch of coastline, the city of Jeddah provides a festival of action whenever F1 comes to town.

The circuit was planned to host the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, adding to the growing list of venues in the Middle East hosting Formula One races.

Track Layout

The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is a street circuit, which means it is constructed on existing city streets. The Corniche, a 30km coastal resort area was chosen to challenge the drivers to fast, sweeping circuits with average speeds around 259km/h.

Notable Features

Similar to other races in the region such as Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is a floodlit night race, providing a unique visual spectacle for both the drivers and the audience.
