Circling around Hard Rock Stadium – the home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team) in the suburb of Miami Gardens in Florida, this purpose built track was completed ready for the Formula One calendar in May 2022.
It has long been the plan to bring F1 to Miami, with many other track racing events being held in the city. The track was originally proposed to race along the beach along Ocean Drive, but logistically, this was not possible. Although a relatively new track, Miami is set to be a permanent addition to the F1 calendar for years to come.
With 19 corners and a predicted average speed of 230km/h this street circuit is similar to Melbourne’s Albert Park in feel with a part street circuit and part permanent section.
The track is a temporary circuit and is one of the newest in the USA. With the Hard Rock Stadium in the centre, head up to the top deck and you have a complete view of every corner on the track. Miami’s tropical climate and party feel makes it a super-cool city to host F1.
