Here are the top 5 Best Formula One overtakes from the 2024 season so far.
Even though there are still seven races remaining, this season has given us some pretty amazing overtakes.
Scroll down to see the best Formula One overtakes fro the 2024 season.
Albon vs Ricciardo and Ocon – Canada
Surely one of the best overtakes in the past few seasons.
Alex Albon was just trying to get past Daniel Ricciardo, but found a way to squeeze through him and Esteban Ocon, and get the double overtake in one movement.
One of the most impressive things about this was the fact that the track was wet. Albon had to get off the dry racing line to complete the stunt, and it was worth it.
Sadly, just after the overtake, Albon found Sainz spinning into turn 7 and was not able to avoid him, resulting in the DNF of both the Ferrari and the Williams.
How on earth did @alex_albon do that?! 🤯

Bearman vs Tsunoda – Saudi Arabia
In what was his first F1 race ever, Ollie Bearman pulled off a dummy move on Yuki Tsunoda on the restart after Lance Stroll brought out the Safety Car on lap 7.
It was a pretty clean overtake on turn 1 to claim 11th place at the time of the move.
Bearman went on to finish the race in seventh place, giving him a 6-point haul in his F1 debut.

Tsunoda vs Hulkenberg – Japan
It was an overtake bound to happen one way or another.
Yuki Tsunoda was chasing down Nico Hulkenberg from the main straight at Suzuka, meditating when to attack at the right moment.
The moment was at the penultimate turn of the “S” curves. The Japanese driver made a smooth move on the inside of Hulkenberg, coming out in front on the outside, taking the place from the German.
It ended up being the battle for 10th place, where Tsunoda was able to take the last point at his home race.

Piastri vs Norris – Monza
This one is still pretty fresh from the last couple races, but quickly became one of the best overtakes of this season.
The first lap in any race is a tricky one, especially if you’re starting from second place with a teammate on pole.
Oscar Piastri was hunting Lando Norris down from the moment the lights went out, and it was on the second chicane in Monza where he got him.
After lining up side-to-side with Norris, Piastri found the tiniest of spaces on the inside of the Englishman and pushed himself in front.
Ultimately the Australian did end up in front of Norris, taking the second step of the podium that weekend.

Leclerc vs Hamilton – Miami
Charles Leclerc had a better straight speed than Lewis Hamilton and he knew it.
The Monegasque driver took the opportunity and overtook Hamilton just at the last part of the track in Miami.
Just like Piastri, Leclerc lined up next to Hamilton, took the outside line and we got to see one of those cool moments where both cars are so synchronized it looks straight out of a movie.
Leclerc went home with third place from the race.
